The Meshinchi Lab specializes in profiling samples from patients with acute myeloid leukemia and identifying gene targets for therapeutic development. Dr. Soheil Meshinchi is a global expert in treating patients with high-risk leukemia (patient who don't respond to standard therapies) and partnering with pharmaceutical companies to provide compassionate use access to drugs for targeted therapy. The lab has begun developing novel therapies for patients with high-risk leukemia and recently received FDA approval for an investigational new drug. This drug targets the FOLR1 gene and a clinical trial will begin late this year to test it efficacy in infants with rare CBG::GLIS subtype leukemia. With a pipeline now in place, the Meshinchi lab plans to test more therapies to treat other leukemias and cancers. Your donations can help!
