Personal Fundraiser

A Mitzvah Project is part of the journey to Jewish adulthood and the Bar Mitzvah process. As Jewish adults, we are asked to do "mitzvot", a social action or community service project to put our Jewish values and identity into practice. A Mitzvah Project is one step toward becoming a "mensch", a person of integrity and honor. 

My Mitzvah Project is to raise money for Fred Hutch Cancer Center. This is not the first time my family has raised money for them, but it is the first time I have. I chose this organization because of my dad, Eric Shutt. He has stage four colon cancer that he has been bravely fighting for 7 years. Fred Hutch has helped him in so many ways - with chemo, radiation, treatment plans on how to make him better, research and so much more. This is why I feel like it is my job to help them.

I am sharing some information below about all the amazing work at Fred Hutch Cancer Center and hope you are able to donate.
