Hi! I'm Katie Kester and next Tuesday, August 21st, I am going to hold an individual golf-a-thon. This means that I will play as many holes as possible throughout the day in order to raise money and awareness for immunology research at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle.
This golf-a-thon is in honor of both of my grandfathers: my grandpa Bill fought pancreatic cancer and passed away in 2013, and my grandpa Chuck is currently battling lung cancer. Immunology is a method of treating cancer that my grandpa Chuck has undergone, and I am interested in researching further in the future. Donations of any amount will promote vital breakthroughs in this research.
Donations can be made before or after the event. If you would like to donate per hole (my goal is 36), I will post a message after the event with how many holes I play and donations can be made then.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about my golf-a-thon and for your donations to support life-saving research! If you have any further questions, feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
