Tess Halbert started her fight to beat cancer this summer and friends and supporters quickly came together as “Team Tess”. Inspired by Tess, the team participated in the Fred Hutchinson Obliteride fundraising event to sponsor research that defeats cancer.
As the Christmas season begins, Bruce and Karen Haldors and Josh and Nicole Adams are building on this momentum. The Haldors and Adams families spend countless hours preparing their annual Christmas light show to delight anyone who views it. This year, the Haldors and Adams families are asking anyone who feels uplifted by their Christmas lights to make a gift to the Fred Hutch in honor of Tess. Learn more about their light display here.
The goal is to fund the research that leads to cures. The Fred Hutch is leading the charge to prevent, diagnose, and treat cancer, making powerful new discoveries each day, from how tumors start and hide in the body to how our immune systems can be harnessed to fight back. Fred Hutch is also at the forefront of the global COVID-19 response: deploying experts in infectious disease, immunology, and more to track and understand the virus and lead the large-scale vaccine and treatment trials necessary to overturn the pandemic and protect communities everywhere.
