I recently accepted the challenge to raise funds to support Fred Hutch’s Climb to Fight Cancer and trek from Lukla, Nepal to Everest Base camp with a group of life science professional from throughout the US in March of 2022. Having spent the last 15 years on the Fred Hutch Trustee's board, I can tell you first hand the Fred Hutch's commitment to fearless science and world class research improves and saves lifes everyday. Some 15 years ago, the board dialog centered around prevention and early detection of cancers, which we still work on today, however, the discussion has now pivoted to treatments and cures! Yes, cures, which is why I Climb for a Cure. We must eliminate cancer as a cause of human suffering and death, and there is no time to waste.
As we all know, cancer is a devastating disease, estimated to strike one in three women and one in two men in their lifetimes. Our climb will raise vital funds for Fred Hutch’s lifesaving research. You can be part of the solution by donating today, which will accelerate the quest for cures.
Fred Hutch has made some of the world’s most important medical advances — from developing bone marrow transplantation as a cure for leukemia, to pioneering powerful therapies that harness the immune system to fight cancer, to leading national and international initiatives that enable earlier cancer diagnoses and more effective treatments. This leading-edge research depends on private contributions that fuel novel studies, which have the power to make a profound difference.
Thus, please click the “green Donate to Ric” button today to make a donation to my Climb to Fight Cancer and support the Fred Hutch. Any amount you can give makes a difference to people and families facing deadly diseases. Your gift is 100 percent tax deductible and will fund extraordinary research, lifesaving discoveries, and cures! As an additional incentive to donating to my Climb to Fight Cancer, Kaylene and I will match every donation dollar for dollar on the first $50,000 donated. Thanks in advance for your support! Sincerely, Ric and Kaylene Anderson
