Innovators Network Happy Hour | Thursday, May 16, 2024 | 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. | Presented by Microsoft

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center’s Innovators Network invites you for a discussion around bridging the gaps in cancer care access and research for LGBTQIA+ patients.

Fred Hutch is dedicated to making sure that every person in every community benefits from the strides we are making in science and care. While LGBTQIA+ people make up around 7% of the U.S. population — a percentage even higher among younger generations — cancer research centering their experiences is scarce. We welcome all to join us and hear the latest updates from researchers working to understand the cancer risk factors and barriers to care that impact the LGBTQIA+ community so we can better serve patients here and everywhere.

We'll hear from:

- Nick Giustini, MD, a thoracic oncologist and professor at Fred Hutch and UW Medicine.

- Tiffany Go, MPA, manager of the Health Equity Program at Fred Hutch.

- Jaimee Heffner, PhD, a professor and director of Fred Hutch's Tobacco-Related Health Disparities Research Group.

- Matty Triplette, MD, MPH, a pulmonologist and researcher at Fred Hutch and UW Medicine and the medical director of the Lung Cancer Early Detection and Prevention Clinic at Fred Hutch.

We're sorry, the deadline for registering for this event has passed.
